Preprimary-Christmas and Red Color Day Celebrations

“Christmas is a season to cherish peace and goodwill and to be plenteous in mercy.”

The atmosphere in Delhi School of Excellence, Banjara Hills came alive with Christmas and Red Colour Day Celebrations on 21st December, 2022. The laughter of little children and splash of sparkly red and white colours ushered in a season of glad tidings of Christmas. The school wore a festive look with silver and golden bells, streamers, a beautifully decorated Christmas tree and of course, the loving presence of Santa Clause who distributed sweets to all. The students of Grade IA presented a wonderful program in a special assembly presentation. They spoke about the significance of Christmas as a season of sharing and spreading peace. They sang a song and also enacted a skit about the birth of Jesus Christ. The colourful costumes, headgear and the realistic-looking scenario of place of the birth in a shepherd’s house added that much more beauty and grandeur to the celebrations. Apart from this, the stars, lights and other Christmas decorations made the program extremely enjoyable. Principal Ms. Veena Murthy appreciated the students for the beautiful program and wished everyone happiness and good health. The students of Grade I to 4 and Pre-Primary students also danced to the ever popular Jingle Bells song. The students of Pre-Primary also celebrated the Red Colour day by hand-painting, and making a red board with pictures of red fruits and vegetables. They also spoke about red fruits and vegetables and recited a poem on red colour. The delightful celebration included children coming in red and white colour party dress, bringing their favourite food for lunch, dancing and sharing the merriment together.
