ADIOS AMIGOS – Farewell -2023-24

“Goodbyes make you think. They make you realize what you’ve had, what you’ve lost, and what you’ve taken for granted.” – Ritu Ghatourey

The Farewell Party for the outgoing Grade X students was marked with celebration mixed with a sense of nostalgia and sadness at the parting. The program began with the welcoming of the dignitaries and the students. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, songs, dances, Sheroshayari, games and ramp walk. The colourful clothes of the students with the decorations on the stage enlivened the program. The Grade X students had the most interesting ways of speaking about themselves using witty quotes and pithy captions. The games had the most catchy captions such as ‘Pop-A-Rama’ that involved blowing balloons and bursting them, and ‘Dress to Impress’ game which involved a saree draping game for the boys with the caption ‘In a saree so fine, elegance in line’. The students performed robust dances in step and sync with the most popular and peppy songs in Hindi, and Telugu. The students also sang songs melodiously that were a medley of popular film and non-film songs in Telugu, Hindi, English and Tamil. The ramp walk combined with the most interesting questions posed to the participants showcased their confidence and poise as well as their innate intelligence and presence of mind. The coveted and much anticipated awards were given away by the dignitaries to Divit Jain as Mr Handsome, Ms Gorgeous to Anvita Grace, Mr DSE to Ehaan Nawaz with sashay and crown and Ms DSE to Yanaa Savla with sashay and tiara. The jubilant winners along with the HRTs of Grade X sections cut the farewell cake. Head Boy Divit Jain and Head Girl Abhinandana Pendyala profusely thanked Grade IX students for the excellent program and announced that the money collected by them was used to provide utility items for the school. The Grand Finale concluded the program with the foot tapping energy and perfect synchrony in which the Grade X students too joined. Grade X students were presented with gifts and they had the opportunity to take memorable pictures at the picture corner and also pen their thoughts on the easel board. The Deputy Cultural Secretaries proposed the vote of thanks. Chairperson Ms Shilpa Ravi appreciated Grade IX students for the lovely program and wished Grade X students the best as they embark on the next chapter in their lives.
