Investiture Ceremony 2026-27

The Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2026–27 was held with great dignity and enthusiasm at Delhi School of Excellence, Banjara Hills, marking a proud moment as the newly elected Student Council formally assumed their responsibilities. The ceremony commenced with the grand arrival of the Chief Guest, Dr. Prasanna Kumar, Director of the National Green Corps, Government of Telangana, who was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour by the newly appointed council members. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Chairperson Ms. Shilpa Ravi, Secretary Ms. Rama Devi, Academic Director Ms. Shashikala, Administrator Ms. Reshmi, the Principals, Vice Principal, Headmistresses of sister branches, and proud parents.
The programme began on a patriotic note with the rendition of Vande Mataram, followed by a soulful invocation song seeking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp symbolized the dispelling of ignorance and the ushering in of knowledge and wisdom. The dignitaries were warmly welcomed, and the legacy of the institution’s founder was fondly remembered, inspiring all present to uphold his vision and values.
The highlight of the ceremony was the pipping and badge distribution, where the newly elected leaders—including the Head Boy, Head Girl, Cultural, Discipline, and Sports teams, along with House Captains and Prefects—were conferred with their responsibilities. The students, radiating confidence and pride, pledged to uphold the school’s values with integrity, dedication, and discipline. The oath-taking ceremony, administered by the Chief Guest, marked a solemn commitment by the council members to lead by example.
The event was enriched with vibrant cultural performances, including a graceful invocation dance in the classical Mohiniyattam style and a motivational song that filled the atmosphere with energy and inspiration. A delightful skit by the junior students added a touch of humour while conveying the true essence of leadership. The felicitation of coordinators and house mentors acknowledged their invaluable guidance and contribution to shaping young leaders.
In his address, the Chief Guest motivated the students to embrace leadership with sincerity, responsibility, and a spirit of service. The Principal, in her inspiring speech, encouraged the council members to lead with humility, discipline, and perseverance. The Head Boy and Head Girl expressed their gratitude and assured everyone of their commitment to fulfilling their duties with utmost sincerity.
The ceremony concluded on a high note with a grand finale dance performance, followed by the vote of thanks delivered by the Cultural Secretaries. The event came to a close with the National Anthem, leaving behind a sense of pride, unity, and renewed determination among all present.
The Investiture Ceremony was not just a formal occasion but a celebration of leadership, responsibility, and the promise of a brighter future led by capable and committed young minds.
