Student leadership entails guiding and owning the responsibility of all issues, however challenging. With this perspective, the Student Leadership Program was conducted by the Mr. Narayan Iyer, CEO of Indian Development Foundation(IDF) on 25th of June in Delhi School of Excellence, Banjara Hills for the students of Grades IX and X of DSE Banjara Hills and Manikonda. It was an interactive session on the qualities of a leader such as his/her ability to identify a problem and resolve it with the participation of the team. A true leader is expected to take a lead if a problem is challenging. He exhorted the students to be the representatives of IDF once they graduate from the school. The students asked thought provoking questions such as “who is a true leader”, “what if a person fails”. Mr. Iyer enunciated that success is subjective and each person can interpret in his/her own way. Mr. Iyer listed the seven qualities of a leader such as discipline, commitment, and self belief.
