Battle of the Teacher Chefs

With this delicious idea, the teachers of Delhi School of Excellence, Banjara Hills, on 19th September, 2019, cooked up the most mouth-watering dishes when they participated in a cooking competition for teachers conducted by International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM). The competition was held under the program – Teacher Chef India Schools in which more than sixty schools are participating. The plethora of delicious dishes presented beautifully was a feast for the eyes and tickled everyone’s palate. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes from different kinds of cuisines such as Mughlai, Nizami, South Indian and North Indian were laid for all to see and enjoy. The dishes were spicy, tangy, and sweet with different varieties of textures. The delectable dishes also showcased subtly and sophistication, proving that the teachers were as comfortable handling classes as bringing out their culinary expertise.There were starters, rice dishes, rotis, fried food, fruit salads, snacks, unique sherbets and many more for everyone to partake. Dignitaries like the Secretary, Ms. Rama Devi, the Principal, Ms. Veena Murthy and the Head Mistress, Ms. Anasuya were also present to enjoy the festive atmosphere the competition created. The judge from IIHM highly praised the teachers for their cooking and presentation skills, and said it was a tough decision to make as to who was the winner. The sumptuous spread could be summed up with the caption ‘Live life with a little spice’.
