Hindi Day was celebrated in Delhi School of Excellence, Banjara Hills on the 23rd of August, 2019. Aarya, a student of Grade A did an excellent job as the compere of the program. The program began with the beautiful recitation of a Hindi poem by the students of Grade IV. They highlighted the importance of a dot in Hindi. The students of Grade II recited the poem “Prakriti Ki Sushma” that spoke eloquently about the beauty of nature. The students of Grades IV-VIII exquisitely presented a puppet show where they used handmade puppets. The amazing show highlighted the gradual decline in the art of puppetry due to the excessive use of mobile phones and the internet. The program ended with a note of thanks by Ms. Kameshwari, the HoD of Hindi department. She spoke about the efforts for making Hindi an international language. A student of Grade IV, Bhavya, with admirable diction in Hindi, made the students take the school pledge in Hindi. A student of Grade VI, Divit Jain read out the national, international and DSE news.
