Greetings to all !
My fervent request to you all is to ponder on this very pertinent quote and take cognizance of the essence that is subsumed. I am sure, you will agree with me that in order to even think of changing ourselves, we should first strive to channelize all our energy towards searching new avenues and in this process, let go of things we really can’t change. Once we achieve this, we are on the road to growth and progress.
The road to success can never be smooth and easy. It is dotted with challenges and as adults, we have all experienced this at some point or the other. The crux of the matter lies in finding ways and means to overcome these. In this struggle, we discover new aspects, quite unknown to us; paving the way towards progress. So must be with our children. If everything is provided to them on a platter, there is no sense of achievement, no annihilation of having achieved the unknown, no unbridled joy in overcoming the obstacles and definitely no growth.
We, as stake holders, both parents and teachers, must ensure that opportunities are provided to students to seek the unknown and discover themselves. With commitment and dogged determination, I think we can make it happen. I am of the fervent opinion that progress is impossible without change and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything. People change not because they want to but because they have to. Ergo, change is inevitable but progress is optional.
