72nd Independence Day Celebrations

The 72nd Independence Day was celebrated at the school with great pride and patriotism with the theme BRAIN DRAIN. The students and the staff gathered at the school ground for the celebrations in the early hours. The Indian Tricolor was unfurled by our revered Principal Ms. Veena Murthy, thereafter which the rendition of National Anthem began. In her address to the students she emphasized the importance of values in the making of a good citizen. She also reiterated that values once imbibed are difficult to be scraped off and change then, becomes difficult leaving scars. The students rendered a patriotic song filling the air with fervor of patriotism. This was followed by a skit on the theme of brain drain, its causes and reflections. A pyramid display added a feather to the cap of an excellent showcase on the occasion of Independence Day celebrations. The quit India portrayal culminating the theme saving nature, creating a wealthy nation was applauded and praised by the audience. The tricolored attire of the dancers and all the students added an aesthetic beauty to the patriotic arena. The programme came to an end with sweet distribution and exchange of Independence Day greetings.
